3. APP PERMISSIONS
Qcar requests the following device permissions:
- Location – To detect your position and calculate routes to your destination.
- Camera – To take profile photos and document trip-related images.
- Microphone – To enable voice calls with your driver through the app.
- Storage – To save receipts, documents, and downloaded files on your device.
- Notifications – To send ride status updates, booking confirmations, and offers.
- Bluetooth – To support audio output through Bluetooth devices during in-app calls.
- Photo Library – To select photos from your gallery for your profile or trip.
- Phone State – To detect incoming calls and pause in-app audio automatically.
You can manage permissions at any time in your device settings. Denying a permission may limit certain features but will not prevent core app use.

- Process and fulfill ride bookings
- Provide real-time navigation and routing
- Enable in-app voice and video calls with drivers

We never sell your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. DATA SHARING

- Drivers – Your name, pickup location, and contact info to complete your ride.
- Firebase (Google) – Device token and user ID for push notifications and data sync.
- Agora – Voice and video stream data to enable in-app driver communication.
- Payment Processors – Transaction amount and order ID for secure payment processing.
- Analytics Providers – Anonymized usage data to monitor app performance.
- Legal Authorities – As required by law, court orders, or regulatory obligations.
6. DATA STORAGE AND SECURITY
Your data is stored on secure servers. We use:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Firebase App Check to prevent unauthorized API access
- Secure authentication with OTP verification
- Regular security audits and access controls
No internet transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and keep your credentials private.
7. DATA RETENTION
- Account information: Until account deletion + 30 days
- Ride history: 3 years (for legal and dispute purposes)
- Payment records: 7 years (financial regulations)
- Location data: 90 days after trip completion
- Voice/video call data: Not recorded or stored
- Crash and analytics logs: 90 days
You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by contacting us.
8. YOUR RIGHTS
You have the right to:
- Access – Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Correction – Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion – Request deletion of your account and personal data.
- Opt-Out – Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
- Portability – Receive your data in a machine-readable format.
- Restriction – Ask us to limit how we process your data in certain cases.
We will respond to requests within 30 days.
9. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Qcar is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
10. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Our app integrates with:
- Firebase Messaging & Firestore (Google LLC) – Push notifications and real-time data
- Firebase App Check (Google LLC) – API security
- Agora (Agora.io Inc.) – In-app voice and video calls
- Google Maps (Google LLC) – Navigation and mapping
- YouTube Player (Google LLC) – In-app video content
Each service is governed by its own privacy policy.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the date above, send a push notification, and display an in-app notice. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance.
